What Do We Know About HCG Diet?

HCG diet drops are used by many people and sometimes it has positive results and the main thing is that it increases the metabolism which helps in burning fats and most of the fat reducing medicines have after using them and they are not effective as well. Before the treatment the doctor will perform some heath related test and will ask to undergo a blood test. Studies have shown that the weight loss directly comes from adipose fat tissue and not from lean muscle.

In HCG drops the weight loss comes from the unhealthy fat and it also releases fat stored nutrients into the blood stream so that the body can absorb it and that is why there is no feeling of negative health.

There is no scientific evidence of HCG diet drops and recently it has been banned and it has not been approved by the FDA in reducing weight. It increases the metabolism which helps in reducing weight as it burns the fat quickly due to increased metabolism.

It has side effects as well like feeling dizzy, laziness, unable to breath properly, stomach pain, diarrhea etc. We should keep in mind that every fat reducing agent available in the market in the present have some or the other side and bad effect by doing exercise properly we can reduce fats.

Basal Cell Carcinoma

Gorlin syndrome is a genetically determined disease in which there are multiple basal cell carcinomas with ‘pits’ on the palms of hands and soles of the feet and other systemic disorders such as jaw cysts, rib and vertebral abnormalities, among others.

The pits (circular punctate lesions of one or two mm) are presented in soles and palms. Are due to an alteration in the maturation of the cells that form this special skin (palmoplantar). In particular, result from the premature desquamation of keratin immature resulting from the delay in the maturation of epidermal basal cells. In some patients, at the base of the lesions detected small basal cell carcinomas.

You should never remove carcinomas with liquid nitrogen or any other system discussed previously. It should be a histologic diagnosis of carcinoma before treating. There are currently no invasive diagnostic methods (confocal microscope) to avoid taking a biopsy. The confocal microscope is a method for analyzing cells in situ on the patient, and non-invasive (no need for skin or stitches).

Tracking Ovarian Cancer : Commentary

During the last decade, research efforts have focused on protocols for detection and diagnosis of ovarian cancer in early stages. Unfortunately, achieving this goal has been difficult and to date not been demonstrated that monitoring strategies or systematic screening tests have reduced mortality from ovarian cancer.

Since 80% to 90% of women who presented ovarian tumors have no family history of the disease and that screening in the general population is not yet effective, it is important for patients and physicians know the symptoms of cancer ovary to establish the diagnosis as quickly as possible. Theoretically lead to early diagnosis of tumor detection in early stages, when the chance of cure is significantly higher. Even if that early diagnosis through symptoms does not detect early stage disease, will make optimal cytoreduction in advanced disease. Read the rest of this entry »

Tracking Ovarian Cancer

Frequency of Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer in women attending primary care centers

More severe symptoms or more frequent than expected and newly emerging diagnostic warrant further investigation because it is more likely to be associated with both benign and malignant ovarian masses.

Introduction

Ovarian cancer has been called the “silent murderer”, because it is believed that the symptoms do not appear until the advanced stages of the disease, when chances for cure are limited. However, several retrospective studies indicated that most patients have symptoms, although not necessarily a gynecological nature. These studies were criticized by the small number of patients included and the retrospective analysis used for data collection.

The aim of this study was to identify the frequency, severity and duration of symptoms typically associated with ovarian cancer in a population of women presenting in primary care. Comparisons were made with 128 patients with ovarian masses were monitored for symptoms prior to surgery, and before the establishment of the diagnosis of cancer or benign tumor. The glands and the ducts are embedded in adipose tissue and connective tissue, which, together with the lymphatic tissue, form the breast.

A retaining wall as it acts pectoral muscle which lies between the ribs and breast.

Pesticides increase risk of blood cancer among farmers

blood cancerFarmers live with a domesticated nature, but nature, after all. Or perhaps not be so, because being surrounded by land, trees, sun, rain and wind can be detrimental to these professionals … as long as contact with pesticides. According to a recent study, the farmers are more likely to get cancer of the blood as a result of pesticide use, concluded by the Centre for Immunology, Marseille-Luminy.

This study is important because it demonstrates for the first time that there is cause and effect relationship between exposure to pesticides by farmers and some types of blood cancer. So far, the impact of environment on the health of farmers was a mere guess, but now got tested at the molecular level, the risk of certain cancers.

Observe cells farmworkers exposed to pesticides has been instrumental in biomolecular study, conducted over the past five years with more than 144 farmers in contact with these chemicals. The researcher Bertran Nadel explains that, unlike the rest of the population, exposed to pesticides agricutores “develop in its genome of 100 to 1,000 times more abnormal cells, which eventually can be transformed follicular lymphoma, a type of cancer the blood. “

This type of cancer, asymptomatic, incurable, is the sword of Damocles of farmers, on the 50 to 67 years, which, however, generally develop fewer cancers than other professionals.

The good part of this story is that scientists have identified factors that increase the risk as “the kind of pesticides used, the size of farms, the method of application and doses,” says Nadel.

The bad part, it is not easy to change things, because follicular lymphoma increases the Gallic country around 4% annually, and is the fifth leading cause of cancer deaths nationwide. Besides, France is the largest user of pesticides (herbicides, insecticides and fungicides) in Europe and third in the world rankings.
